This beautiful loom and small rug was handcrafted by Dorothy Nez from the Kaibeto area of the Navajo Nation. Dorothy is a lifelong weaver and does a great job making looms. The loom itself is crafted out of native juniper. The rug is a storm pattern design, Dorothy has woven 4 native colors into this rug. The doll is a very authentic traditonal weaver. She has her hair rolled up and tied in the style of the old time Navajo. She is wearing a necklace, 2 braclets and a concho belt. In her right hand she is holding her yarn spinner. In front of her is a hand woven yarn basket complete with 3 balls of different colored yarn. The overall measurments for the loom is 23x27 inches.
